Objects that hold a story

I MAKE BOLD SCULPTURAL OBJECTS WITH MEANING.

I create sculptural objects that explore identity, belonging and the spaces we inhabit.

Working primarily in clay, I build each piece by hand, piece by piece. Organic forms and geometric forms, asymmetric and other times in balance. Nature is my inspiration.

The process of piecing things together is the heart of my work. And in my opinion a metaphor for life.

We build our lives, our identities and our sense of belonging piece by piece. Sometimes we change, lose a part, start again or find a new place to call home. But at the end you have a bold sculpture brought together. So I’ll hope you’ll find this back in my work.

My work is for collectors, individuals, boutique hotels and designers who want more than something beautiful to fill a space.

Objects with presence. Objects with meaning. Objects that invite you to see your environment, yourself, your life and you in your environment.

Made by hand in my studio in southern Spain.

A standing sculpture made of various rounded and semi-rounded stones stacked on top of each other, illuminated from below, casting shadows on the wall beside it. The sculpture is placed on a tiled pedestal, next to a curtain and a textured wall.

PIECE BY PIECE

Everything is build by pieces. Nature is constructed of layers. Our lives are. I like puzzling.

It brings things in a different perspective.

Our identity. Our sense of belonging. The places we call home. It all changes. Shifts.

I build my sculptures in much the same way, piece by piece, allowing individual elements to come together, shift, connect and sometimes leave space between them.

For me, those gaps are just as important as the pieces themselves.

They leave room for interpretation, change and possibility.

For those who collect differently and see a part of themselves

Art doesn't have to be untouchable.

The pieces I create are made to live with, to become part of a home, a collection or a space with its own character. It defines a feeling and I hope you discover a part from your self in it. It may be boldness courage, the love for nature, a mark point in your life. Just let me know.

After discovering ceramics later in life, I developed a practice rooted in experimentation, intuition and the endless possibilities of clay.
