Ceramic table - Roots
Ceramic table - Roots
A sculptural ceramic side table that brings together function, architecture and the irregular beauty of handmade form.
The rounded tabletop flows into four organic legs, creating a solid yet surprisingly light silhouette. A sequence of small geometric elements travels across the surface, adding rhythm and contrast to the soft, almost architectural shape.
Made by hand in terracotta-toned ceramic, the table has a deliberately tactile surface. Subtle variations in colour, texture and form make each piece unique. It is designed as a functional object, but with the presence of a small sculpture, a piece that can stand on its own or become part of a larger interior composition.
The table works beautifully beside a sofa, armchair or bed, and can also be used as a sculptural pedestal for an object, lamp or artwork.
Each table is handmade to order in the Studio Wild Orange ceramics studio in Andalusia. Because every piece is handmade, subtle variations in form, surface and colour are part of its character.

The idea
A table doesn't have to disappear into the interior.
This piece started from the idea of turning an everyday object into something with presence. The soft, rounded body and organic legs give it an almost architectural character, while the small geometric elements introduce rhythm and movement across the surface.
It is both a table and a sculptural object, made to be used, but also to be noticed.
Handmade rather than mass-produced, every table carries the marks and subtle variations of the making process. No two are exactly alike.
Recommended price is excluding VAT.
