Garden of Eden — Unique Ceramic Totem Sculpture

A one-of-a-kind sculptural artwork by Ingrid Vermulst | Studio Wild Orange

What if paradise were something we could build ourselves?

Garden of Eden is a bold, one-of-a-kind ceramic sculpture exploring the idea of creating our own personal paradise. A vertical composition of unexpected shapes, tactile surfaces and vivid colours, the work brings together organic forms and playful geometry in a striking sculptural presence.

Mint green, soft pink and acid yellow collide in a surreal arrangement of sculptural elements. Rounded volumes, protruding forms and spiked details create a playful tension between softness and sharpness, harmony and disruption. Each element contributes to a composition that feels at once familiar and otherworldly.

Built through a process of shaping, assembling and balancing individual forms, the totem reflects the human desire to create order, meaning and a place to belong. Paradise is not necessarily a place we find; it may be something we construct, piece by piece, through our choices, experiences and imagination.

Working at the intersection of contemporary ceramic art and collectible design, Ingrid Vermulst creates sculptural objects that invite personal interpretation. Her work explores identity, belonging and the spaces we inhabit, combining organic forms with powerful geometry.

Made by hand in her studio in southern Spain, Garden of Eden is an expressive statement piece for collectors who appreciate contemporary sculpture, unconventional colour and distinctive, characterful interiors.

Designed to stand independently as a sculptural focal point, it brings an unexpected artistic presence to a living space, gallery, creative interior or carefully curated collection.
