Why this work exists

Why this work exists

Living in southern Spain, I became fascinated by the small markers people leave behind in the landscape.

Stacked stones, handmade signs and silent traces of those who passed before us.

They made me wonder why, across cultures and throughout history, humans have always felt the need to mark a place.

That curiosity became the foundation of my work.

Before there were words, there were marks.

Throughout history, people have shaped the landscape with objects that carried meaning. Stones were stacked. Totems were raised. Places were marked. These silent gestures spoke of presence, belonging and memory.

I believe that instinct still lives within us.

My sculptures are inspired by this timeless human desire to leave a meaningful trace. To create places that connect us to the landscape, to one another, and to ourselves.

A Sense of Belonging

I believe the spaces we live in shape how we feel.

Art has the power to transform a house into a home, a room into a place of connection, and a landscape into memory.

Every sculpture I create is an invitation to pause.

To reconnect.

To see nature.

To belong.

To be different.
